In their only appearance in a CSL final the Blizzard lose 5-3 to the Vancouver 86ers who claim their fourth straight championship.

The Blizzard was full of great stories over the years.

Bob Houghton:
(NASL)

Bob Houghton joined the Blizzard as head coach in 1982 coming from Swedish Champion Malmo FF.  Houghton had led Malmo to the 1979 European Cup Final against Nottingham Forest.  This story originally appeared in the February / March 1982 Soccer Illustrated - a Canadian monthly published by Soccer in Canada Inc.
