Barrie McDonald, president of the Powell River Youth Soccer Association, has been searching for the best method to develop players and coaches in a “meaningful way.”
He’s tried organizing skills-and-drills events and club-wide small-sided games, but the events were often tough to organize and “chaotic.”
It wasn’t until he partnered with B.C. Soccer to organize a festival last fall that he found something that truly worked.
